Graduate Public Financial Management Certificate
Certificate Admission and Completion Policies
Per University policy, completion of an undergraduate degree is required for admission to a graduate certificate program. Students are required to formally apply for admission to a certificate program. Students are not enrolled in a certificate program by virtue of being enrolled in related courses. The certificate application must be submitted prior to completing two courses (6 credit hours) in the certificate program, no exceptions.

Although a C grade or better is accepted for credit, all graduate certificates require a 3.0 overall grade point average (GPA) in order to be awarded. All graduate certificate coursework must be at the graduate-level (courses numbered 5000 and above) and must be completed at Florida State University. Transfer credits may not count towards a certificate program. Coursework may not count towards two different certificates (but can count towards a certificate and the MPA degree).

After all certificate coursework is completed, but no later than 2 weeks after grades post, an online Certificate Completion Form must be filled out online in order to have the certificate issued. Completion of the program must be approved by the certificate program coordinator. Approved completion forms are then forwarded to the Registrar’s Office for processing and will be posted to the official transcript.

Application Type
If you are a non-degree seeking student you must submit a non-degree seeking application in addition to this certificate application.
