I am Dr. Young Eun Lee from Florida State University and I would like to invite you to participate in a research study. The purpose of this study is to better understand the effects of expectations at work on employees’ emotions, cognitions, and behavior.
In this study, we'll ask you to complete three surveys over 1.5 months. You will complete the introductory survey now, and then if you expressed consent and interest to participate, you will receive the first survey in the next few weeks. The second survey will be emailed to you two weeks after the first survey, and the third survey will be emailed to you two weeks after the second survey. You will be able to receive $1 for completing the introductory survey, $2 for the first survey, $3 for the second, and $4 for the final survey. The maximum amount participants can earn by participating in this research is $10.
Study Requirements
In order to participate, you must be at least 18 years of age, work full time (30+ hours per week), and interact with coworkers regularly at work. Also, students and faculty are not eligible to participate in this study. If you do not meet these requirements, you are ineligible to participate in this study. If you do meet these requirements, then please read on.
Incentives for Participation
Each survey is expected to take approximately 15 minutes to complete. Completion of the survey will be compensated with $1, $2, $3, and $4, respectively. Participants who complete the introductory survey and all three surveys will be able to earn the maximum amount, which is $10.
