Florida is the second-fastest growing state for jobs in technology, and companies need professionals with IT, computers science, and computer engineering expertise. The Florida IT Career (FITC) Alliance was developed to ensure students are trained to meet an increasing demand for careers in technology and that employers welcome graduates of participating schools by strengthening the pathways from the classroom to the boardroom.
The FITC Alliance currently houses a team of 25 dedicated Student Ambassadors who inspire high school students in North Florida to pursue computing professions, as well as support the academic engagement of technology-oriented students currently enrolled at FSU. FITC is looking to hire an additional 10 Ambassadors for Summer term. Ambassadors will be paid $10 per hour during training, leadership development activities, and travel. Food costs associated with travel will also be covered.
